In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1304.
Geography[edit]
The village lies at an altitude of 100 metres and covers an area of 5.784 km².
It has a population of about 400 people.
Ethnicity[edit]
The population is about 99% Slovak in ethnicity.
Culture[edit]
The village has a small public library and a food store.
