Kubuntu dual displays and docking station problem

0

I have Lenovo x260 laptop and experiencing problem with Kubuntu 18.04 - after I configure desktop background and panel settings on my external displays, I take the laptop from docking station and see default desktop and panel on internal display. Next when I take the laptop back to the docking station, I again see default desktop and panel. So it seems that KDE assumes that each time I reconnect my displays/dock station it is new display. I analyzed file ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-applets - it is really so. Also when I configure new panel with widgets it is shown that same widgets are already running (number in circle) but I do not see them. To resolve this, I clean up contents of ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-applets file and restart plasma with kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart plasmashell

It is very strange behavior (by default at least) for modern DE, or maybe I am missing something? How to fix this? I really like KDE, but this annoying behavior will make me some day to move to XFCE.
