Why do apps stop working if I don't move the mouse

0

I am having a pretty weird time on my system. I have been using Ubuntu for over 2 years and have never encountered such an issue. If I leave my trackpad while using an application, the application would stop doing its job , when I hover the mouse, things start working as normal. Weird, ain't it? I don't know what on earth is happening. It'd be helpful if someone provided some resolution on this.

  • Ubuntu Version: 18.04.1 LTS

  • Linux Kernel Version: 4.15.0-43-generic x86_64

  • GCC, G++ Version: 7.3.0

Kind regards,

Sayan
