proftpd (sftp) add access for user to /var/www
I have proftpd up and running in sftpd mode. Users are jailed to their home directories. For a specific user let's call him "claire" I want to give ftp access to /var/www via FileZilla (the user already has access to his own home dir and I don't want to lose that). I have read some tutorials but nothing seems to work. Finally I landed here: http://www.proftpd.org/docs/howto/Chroot.html and tried as per instructions the following:
Defaultroot ~ !claire
after saving proftpd.conf and restarting the service, I get
Error: Network error: Connection refused
Error: Could not connect to server
on filezilla. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I don't know how to solve this.
Thank you in advance
