keep java-8-oracle but remove java-8-jdk

0

Typing update-java-alternatives -l

I get

java-1.11.0-openjdk-amd64 1101 /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.11.0-openjdk-amd64
java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64 1081 /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64
java-8-oracle

I would like to keep the java-8-oracle, but I do not need the 1.8 jdk, since these are duplicates.
How do I pull that off?

While we are on the topic, another strange behaviour:
Before I had java-8-oracle installed, typing java -version returned java version: 1.10, even though my JAVA_HOME Path refers to the 1.8 version, any idea why that happened? I feel like I messed up a lot on an earlier installation...
