WiFi disconnects while downloading files with kernel issues

0

I have tried to find a solution for a very long time but any changes did not improved my WiFi performance.

System: Mac Mini (late 2014), 18.10, running headless with Kodi login environment

Issue: WiFi disconnects randomly while downloading a large portion of data from the Internet

Reproduction: When the PC is downloading w big chunk of data (eg. torrents) it disconnects from the WiFi after few minutes. Normal usage (idle system, updates) does not disconnect from WiFi.

Steps already applied: changed network manager to wicd, changed torrent downloader, changed WiFi power saver to disabled, checked effects of UFW on connection.

Rebooting is the only solution that temporarily brings the connection back.
Any ideas what might work?

Rebooting is the only solution that temporarily brings the connection back.
      Any ideas what might work?
