General protection crash: How to ensure apport saves to /var/crash?
I have a server (Ubuntu 16) where my app sometimes crashes. In dmesg I see something like:
[Thu Feb 7 03:17:03 2019] do_general_protection: 36 callbacks suppressed
[Thu Feb 7 03:17:03 2019] traps: myapp[23095] general protection ip:7f3ecb14a9f8 sp:7f3c97ffd960 error:0 in doodle.so[7f3ecaf9e000+239000]
But otherwise I don't see any info. There is no crash dump in /var/crash . Apport log file is empty...
Is this normal or should apport have caught it?
Thanks!
