Installed Ubuntu and now computer won't boot

0

Pretty new to this Linux thing. Recently installed Ubuntu 18.04 and when I tried to boot up the computer again after turning it off it won't boot.

Specs:

Motherboard: Foxconn 2ab1

GPU: Nvidia 950(?)

This is the first boot.

Help?

What is the error and what are your computer specs?

  • No error; just a blinking cursor on boot. Motherboard is a Foxconn 2ab1

  • Was this the first boot after install? Did it ever boot into Ubuntu?

  • 1. What was the existing OS? 2. Did you set the installation up to dual boot? 3. What exactly do you see when you turn the computer on? Can you get to BIOS and peek around? If so, have you looked into the boot order?
