Way to turn proxy on/off automatically

0

I have a laptop running Windows host with Ubuntu 18.10 as a VM in Virtualbox. My company has two networks that I connect to regularly. One requires me to access internet through a proxy. Another one does not, i.e. I connect directly to the internet. Because of a difference in firewall policy between these two networks, I find myself having to switch back and forth between these networks to access the things I need. I find myself having to go and turn proxy on and off, which involves having to go and make changes in multiple places:

1. Clear HTTP_PROXY, HTTPS_PROXY
2. Clear proxy for apt
3. Change proxy settings in my IDE. I use IntelliJ IDEA, which does not seem to pick up the HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY
4. Restart the Ubuntu VM for the changes to take effect

This is a lot of work. Is there any way to avoid doing this? I am looking for some kinds of setup that allows me to switch proxy on/off with less work than I have to do now.
