How do I prove the following statement to do with formal power series?

Let f(t) be a formal power series with ord(f) = 1 and let g(t) be the inverse of f. Then b0 = 0 and bn = (Res(1/(f(t))^n))/n where n>0
I am completely lost in understanding how I should show that this statement is true, any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Can you give a simple example of using "this statement"? Then we may judge how we can help you.
