ManualFullSystemEncryption 18.04 - secure boot

0

I have followed the excellent dual boot FullSystemEncryption Manual where a bug is mentioned that the BIOS secure boot might need to be turned off before installing.

After the successful installation I had hoped that it's possible to switch 'secure boot' on again. However this leads to the error:

error: no such device <long number>
error: no server is specified.
error: you need to load the kernel first.

Thus it seems, that it is impossible to use 'secure boot' in a dual boot setup (Win10Pro/Ubuntu 18.04). Is this correct?

What are people doing in this situation? Hardware encryption with Bitlocker and LUKS seems more important than enabling 'secure boot'. Any thoughts and/or tips?

Thank you.
