ubuntu server install - BootDevice Not Found
I am trying to install ubuntu server onto a HP Notebook.
I have
downloaded the ubuntu software,
created a usb drive
disabled fast boot on the Notebook BIOS
disabled secure boot on the Notebook BIOS
installed ubuntu server (entire disk)
rebooted
The Intel Boot Agent fails to establish a link to a boot drive
The errors are
PXE E61
PXE M0F
Final Message is
BootDevice Not Found
I have tinkered with lots of settings to try to get this to work, particularly in the hard drive set up of the installation, but to no avail. I see this is a common problem, but I can't really see how to solve it on my devices.
There does not seem to be a BIOS update available from HP for this machine.
(I am running MacOS on an iMac as my other machine.)
Grateful for any advice
