Changing tv to sole monitor
I am creating a media/retro gaming pc from and old Toshiba satellite c660 laptop. As I am rehousing the board I need to dispense with the laptop screen. The problem is I cannot stop the laptop screen being the primary monitor. If the monitor is plugged in the TV stays primary. The moment I unplug the monitor from the board the TV just shows the backscreen and has no taskbar ect.
It has to be an easy fix that I am missing.......

when you connected to TV, are both the screen showing same? meaning Mirror displays..you can select it from settings to make it 2nd Display only. did not you try that way?

also if you have dedicated entry i.stack.imgur.com/eSFJZ.jpg like this in your bios settings, check it.

I'll check the bios but I don't think so. It's a 2010 model. I have tried mirroring the displays. Also in the display settings having the 2nd monitor as the main display with the navigation bar in a two display set up. Everything works perfectly as long as I keep the laptop dispaly connected. The second I disconnect it all I get is the background display on the tv. No pointer no task bar nothing.

i mean avoid mirroring and make it to display on TV Monitor only.
