Unattended upgrades - Sending to syslog (option not available in Ubuntu 16.04)

0

As the title says, I have an Ubuntu server 18.04 running unattended upgrades and in the config file there's an option to send the update logs to syslog server but in my Ubuntu 16.04 server, that option doesn't exist so I added the line:

Unattended-Upgrade::SyslogEnable true;

Unfortunately it doesn't work. Is my only choice to upgrade to 18.04 for this option?
