NVIDIA Driver needed to run LG 25UM58 screen on GeForce GTX750Ti GPU

0

I'm new to Ubuntu and have found the advice on this site very useful so far but have a query about my secondary monitor.

I have a new Ubuntu 18.04 64 bit PC and added a GTX 750Ti card connected to a regular monitor via VGA plus a HDMI connection to the LG 25UK58 21:9 widescreen monitor in another room. Both monitors worked on the in-built card but only the VGA gets a signal when I switch to the GTX. I'm guessing it's a driver issue but I'm not sure which one to try as the recommended 415 works only on the VGA and the 390 didn't work at all.

I was hoping to be able to play one Activity, such as online TV, on the LG screen while working on the primary monitor but I don't have that ability when using the other GPU.

Thanks, Rob
