Installation on a mac

Prepared memory stick with .iso file per instructions. Attempted to boot from it. First screen only had word UBUNTU with alternating red and white dots below. Then a screen with a large beaver icon and arrows moving upward from the bottom center. Nothing else. No response to keys or mouse. Where do I go from here?

  • Welcome to Ask Ubuntu. What instructions did you follow? Did you verify your download? Have you verified your install-media? You didn't specify version of Ubuntu) I mention these as the few seconds to perform these can save hours of later diagnosing caused by errors in these steps in not done (ie. insurance steps I think are very worthwhile).
