What is the difference between Contour Map and Level Curve?
As far as I understand,
Level Curve is a 2d curve extracted from a 3d surface by keeping one variable as constant.
Contour Plot or Contour Map is the collection of level curves where a variable is quantized at a regular interval. It's actually the quantization of the whole surface at regular intervals.
