Settings (Gear/Power Butt0n) Disappeared From Top Panel

0

I'm getting really tired with Ubuntu MATE. I have literally not done anything to my computer when suddenly the power off/log out button (stylised as a gear) has just disappeared completely...

I've tried adding indicator applets but none of them bring back the option to log out or shut down. I've been having to type shutdown into my terminal which is ridiculous

  • You can always try to switch to gorgeous glossy GNOME sHell and enjoy it. About indicators I can recommend to launch MATE Tweak and change panel layout to Traditional or Ubuntu MATE to restore their apperance.
