I have a Dell 2-in-1 laptop/tablet that after something happened (the meeting with a projector??) now freeze if I start or close it while connected with a secondary monitor.

So, when I end the day or want to lock it, I need to first disconnect the laptop from its base (that is then connected to the external monitor), suspend/lock it, start the laptop again and reconnect to the base.

If I don't do that, the screen freeze and the only things I can do is move the mouse (I see the cursor moving) or keep press the ON button to physically kill the OS.

Do you have any idea what I could do (i.e.e purge/reinstall a package) in order to solve this problem? OR should I "just" reinstall Ubuntu 18.04?
