STALLED : Trying to install fresh ubuntu 18.04 to DELL XPS 1647 SSD

I tried to install a fresh ubuntu 18.04 to my old laptop DELL XPS 1647, I had some minor upgrades, changing HDD to SSD(Kingston A400), and added additional RAM(previously it was 4GB + 2GB, currently 4GB + 4GB).
I used a USB to install Ubuntu.
Screen seem to stuck at loading when i tried to install.
Checked the BIOS setting. mode is set to ACHI.
