Ubuntu 18.10 slow boot after upgrading from 18.04 LTS

0

I have updated from 18.04 LTS to 18.10 and when booting, Ubuntu freezes nearly 30 second. It opens total like 2 minutes. I have tried nearly everything but I didnt find a solution. I looked apport.log but nothing seems wrong. I really appreciate if you could help.

  • I once had some kind of equal trouble when booting my PC. This was using Debian and the problem was, that there wasn't enough entropy. I could solve it installing the haveged package. To test if your affected just move your mouse while booting. Just like if you need to create a gpg-key.

  • I once had some kind of equal trouble when booting my PC. This was using Debian and the problem was, that there wasn't enough entropy. I could solve it installing the haveged package. To test if your affected just move your mouse while booting. Just like if you need to create a gpg-key.

  • What does systemd-analyze blame from a terminal tell you? Also you could hit esc during boot. Can you see a start job timeout running?
