The CAF Champions League 2008 was the 12th running of the CAF Champions League competition. Al Ahly of Egypt achieved an unprecedented 6th Champions League cup by winning 4–2 on aggregate against Coton Sport FC of Cameroon .

² The CAF ordered that the tie was to be played over one leg in Kinshasa due to the civil war in Chad, but Renaissance FC objected to the ruling; they were ejected from the competition, fined $4000 and banned from CAF competitions for three years.

Note: Clubs from the Central African Republic, Kenya, Liberia and Sierra Leone were disqualified for failure to fulfil their financial obligations, and clubs from Somalia, Djibouti, São Tomé and Príncipe and Malawi were disqualified three months earlier.^[1]
